OUR DEPRESSION CONSIDERED.

• TO TIIK KIHTOK.

Sin, —I notice that Mr W. A. Murray intends to read a paper at the ne.it meeting of the Waikato Farmer's Club, to be held iu Hamilton, upon " Some of the Causes of tho depression considered." Without wishing to forestall any <>f the ideas or matters to be brought forward by Mr Murray for discussion on that occasion, 1 cannot help remarking that I, together with a number of my neighbours consider the present depression to ba caused chiefly by the action of incompetent or dishonest political adventurers in tho past. Perhaps it will be part of Mr Murray's mission to inform his audience how to troat any such in tho future, should they try to charm the unsuspecting voter by slavering him ovor with the view of making a second meal of him.—l am, etc.,, Bucolic.
