Owing to the Senate refusing an order of the day respecting ' the Franco-Turkish Treaty of Commerce, all the members of the Cabinet have tendered their resignations, but at the request of the President, M. Carnot, M. Tirard, the Premier, has agreed to remain in office until Easter. March 15. M. Tirard, Premier, has decided to resign office, and M. de Freycinet has undertaken the task of forming a new Ministey.
