Rksojxtions.— The following resolutions wore passed, viz. :—That tenders bo called [or, when necessary, for keeping clear tho water tables aiid removing land-slips on tlio Italian and Waipa Itoads.— That iu future the meetings of tho Council shall be held in Kaplan, the meetings to be held quarterly.—That the Chairman be authorised to .sign tho agrconiout with the (ioveniment as to tho payment of £.11)0 grunted for the Uafjlan and Waipn Koaij.— That the amount owing to the Charitable Aid Board, t'CS 18s 2d, be paid.—That tenders bo called for the construction of a culvert over tho Waiinarimi Crfipk.—That Mr Smith's letter re Village Settlement be referred to next meeting.—That Mr Biegman's letter ro the bad state of Kawhia Road be referred to tho Kauhia J load Board. — That this Council not being in existence at the time legal advice was given to the Waikato Council, they are not responsible for the sain tor legal expenses re the Charitable Aid Board.-Tbat the, following Cr.?. ba appointed :\ I'inance C;>mmittte, viz., the chairman and Crs. Langley and Mathias.—That the chairman and Cr. Matldas bo impowored to sign cheques for the Ciiuncil.—That the consideration of the appointment of :i representative on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board be deferred. That the finance Committee bo authorised to open and accept tenders for the Wai-niai-ino Culvert. — That the question of County Ratios bo deferred f..r a future meeting.—That 1500 Wicks be pin chased for the building of n chimney at tho Council Chambers.—That tenders be called for painting the building with two coats of paint, the work to be done to tho satisfaction of tlio chairman. Accounts.—-Some accounts were passed for payment, and others referred to the Ji'inanco Committee, to bo paid on their approval, and to bo reported to the Council at its next.meeting. Annum. Mkctinc.
