HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
An adjourned meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council was held last night at the Council Chambers. There wore present: His Worship tho Mayor, Crs. Sandes, Salmon, Wood, Missen and Jones. The business was to consider the report of the Saleyards Regulation Committee, who recommended as follows: " That the auctioneers be allowed to use the Hamilton Cattle Saleyards on overy fourth Thursday, commencing on Thursday, tho sth of ,July. That each auctioneer be charged the sum of one half per cent, on the nett proceeds of sales, and that they be not held responsible tor any damage done to the yards on days of sale. That Mr C. Hudson be communicated with and requested to make Thursday the market day, instead of Wednesday as at present."—Cr. Jones moved that the report bo adopted.—Seconded by Cr. Salmon and carried.
