NEW ZEALAND MEAT IN THE SYDNEY MARKET.
New Zkxmnd meat is now a feature at the Homebush Market in Sydney. We tike the following on the subject from the Sydney Mail of 2nd Ootober :— "Tho metropolitan beof market is likely to be strongly supplemented by New Zealand shipment-.. During the last .six weeks several small lots of bullocks arrived and brought up to £2.'>, but on Thursday no fewer than 04 he.id from New Plymouth were landed and sold at Homebush up to £21. The average of the lot was £12. We are informed that it is intended to charter a couple of uteanieis to bring fat stock from Maonland. Tho freight at present is rather high, being £1 100 per head."
