There was a good inquiry for all y.wded, particularly growing steers and dairy cattle. At Reunmra on Thursday, dairy cattle were numen>ii«, and, unless of very choice quality, at lower values. Store cattle barely maintained laly values. Fat cattle, in usual supply, maintained last week's values —choico quality •fceers at 20s, medium qualities from 18s and upwards. There was a good muster at the Durham Yard* on Friday. Competition was steady throughout the sale, and most of the horses found purchasers, although vendors would have liked higher values. The Taranaki horses sold relatively high. We quote hacks at from £7 to £14 10s, light-harness horses from £8 to £1610s, medium draughts from £17 to £22. Wool, hides, and skins: Improved supply, and spirited demand. Hides sold at from 3Jd to 4^(1; wool, 5J par lb. Cattle : There has been steady demand, and an adequate supply, and an average number changed hands at the previous week's values* The Newmarket Yards on Tuesday were fairly tilled with all descriptions. Dairy stock were well competed for, and stores maintained the previous week's values. Lambs were rather scarce, and of indifferent quality, prices ranged from 3s 6d to 8s 3d. Pigs: There was a larg^e number yarded, but there was no competition, at from 2Jd to 3kl per lb live weight. Messrs G. W. Binnbt and Co. report that at their sale of hides, skins, and tallow, a fair supply came to hand, and quote firstclass heavy hides at 4d to 4jjd, second-class 3J to 3gd, light and inferior l£d, to 3£d per lb; calfskins 3£d to 3£d per lb, pelts from Is to Is Id, lambskins 5d to Is 7<i each ; tallow 11s 6d per cwt, wool 5M to sjjd per lb.
