He h.is benn «u rested, and when the mail left w ,is awaiting trial for devising a scheme to defraud. The authorities swooped down on B.is-ett before he had time to reap the fruits of his scheme, but since his mc ircor.ition ho many letters have come to him as to con- \ nice the police that if he had b >«n allowed to go on for thiee or four m >nth-> he would have received fifty or sixty thousand dollars.
