Welling ton, Wednesday. A petition for presentation to Parliament, praying for the .amalgamation of the city electorates, is in course of signature through the city. Judgment was reserved in the application to strike Mr Shaw off the roll of barristers and solicitors. The Ministers will shoitly be moving again. Mr Ballance leaves for Wanganui on Saturday. Mr Stout probably visits the South for a few day^, leaving on Monday. Mr Larnach will shortly make a to-ir of the South Island mining district", visiting the We>t Coast first. Mr Buckley intends to proceed to Auckland shoitly, and Mr Kichard&on will visit the West Coast of the South Island. The Hibernian Society held their annual demonstration to-day. The new banner imported by the Society was blessed by BMiop Redwood at the Cathedral. Regarding the statement that Mr Bryce intended to take proceedings against Sir A Gordon and another gentleman of high position in the colony, it is now said that the gentleman referred to is the Hon. Mr Mantell, from whom it is rumoured Mr Rusden obtained most of his information.
