WELLINGTON, Sunday. llix.ii Douui,as, a portev, fell off the Queen's wharf last night and was drowned.
NELSON, Saturday. Last night a sawmill, flourmill, hopkiln, and barn containing a threshing machine, etc., the property of Mr Drum* niond, and situate at Upper Moutere, wore totally destroyed by fire. It U liclievcd that the fire originated from • hopkiln. There wtre insurances on the pioperty, and loss, including the hops, is estimated at £2000.
