Mr Alfred Buckand's Weekly Report.—At the Haymarket on Friday, February sth, looie fodder brought from 3s to 4s the cwt ; potatoes, £3 15s the ton ; maize, 3s 2d the bushel. Horse stock were in full numbers and at lato values; useful draughts brought £16 to £20 each. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday hides were in limited number and late values ; tallow, 13s Gd the cwt ; wool, from s£d to 6Jd per lb. At the Waiuku cattle sale on Saturday, lets than the usual number of cattle were yarded. There was a good enquiry throughout for dairy cows at their profit. At the ■heep fair held at Remuera on Wednesday there was a good inquiry for breeding ewes of all classes ; prices ranged from 9s for full-mouth to 12s for two and four tooth ewes, and more were required. For rams there was also a good demand, and more would have been sold had the breeder met the buyer in price. Fancy prices could not be obtained. Prices for Downs ranged from 37s 6d for lambs to £0 for two-tooths ; longwnolu from 30s to 75*, at which latter price 20 were sold in one line, and a number of inferior animals for slaughtering purposes. At the Remuera Yards on Thursday, there was no alteration in value of dairy and store cattle. Fat cattle, yarded in full number, maintained last week's prices, and were equable throughout. Sheep were in moderate supply ; only beat pens were at last week's values ; second class, about Is each lower ; lamba lower, 1b each. Pigs in better demand than for some weeks. Messrs. Hunter and Nolans Weekly Report.— Horses : The market has been fairly active, and a good number have chnnged hands. The Durham Yards were well filled on Friday last, but there was no noteworthy alteration in prices from the previous sale. Mr Thomson's racehorses were disposed of at tho following prices :— Bay mare, Kate, 18J guineas ; horse, A.8., 14^ guineas ; bay horse, Tim, 21 guineas. Hacks we ;quote at from £(i to £15 10s ; light harness horses, from £6 to £15 10s ; medium draughts from £15 to £19 ; heavy draughts, £25. Wool, hides, and skins: The supply has been good, and competition corresponding. We quote : Hides at from 3sd to 3£d ; wool in grease, 4£d to s|d per lb ; skins from 2s to 2s 6d ; tallow, 15s per cwt. Cattle: The Newmarket Yards on Tuesday were well filled with all classes of cattle, prices remaining at previous quotations. Fatjcattle were yarded in full numbers ; bidding was brisk throughout, but prices ruled a shade lower than the previous Tuesday's quotations. At Pukefcohe on Wednesday, there was a good muster of cattle of all descriptions, and young stock of both sexes had a ready sale. Fat sheep: The yards at Newmarket were well filled, and prices remained firm throughout the sale at a trifle lower than previous week's quotations. Fat lambs in moderate supply, and sold well, prices ruling in favour of the vendor. We held our annual sheep and ram fair at Green-lane yesterday. There vv«is a large muster of sheep and rams, and every lot was disposed of, excepting a few rams, at prices satisfactory to the vendors. Pigs: very few yarded, but the demand was good. Mi>sits G. W. Binnev and Co. report. —At our weekly sale&. hides in sound condition sold at advanced rates. We quote heavy at 4d to 4Ad ; medium, 3sd to 3f d ; cut and damaged, 2d to 2j/d per lb ; calfskins, clear of cats, 4sd to 4j?d per lb. Dry pelts, up to 4.U1 each ; salted pelts, 4Jd to sd ; lambskins, from Gd to 9d ; tallow, in packages, 14s to 15j per cwt. with good demand.
