Her Majesty the Queen has been pleased to grant peerages to Sir Charles H. Mills, and Sir Henry Allsopp. The remaining writs rendered necessary by the change of Ministry having been moved, Parliament adjourned uutil the 18th inst. Sir George William Dcs Voeux, Governor of Fiji, has been appointed Governor of Newfoundland in place of the late Sir John Glover, The Right Hon.
