The Earl of Aberdeen has been appointed Lord Lieutenant of Ireland ; Lord Wolverton assumes the portfolio of PostmasterGeneral ; Sir Lyon Playfair is Vice-Presi-dent of the Committee of the Council of Education ; Earl Morloy, Commissioner of Works; Mr John Kigby, Q.C., SolicitorGeneral ; Mr James J3ryce, Under Secretary of Foreign Affairs; Mr Edward Heneage, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancashire ; Mr Jesse Coiling^, Secretary to the Local Government Board; Mr Samuel Walker, Q.C., Attorney-General for Ireland. February 6. Mr Fowler has been appointed Secretary to the Treasury, and Mr J. T. Hibberd Secretary to the Admiralty. The divorce case in which Sir Charles Dilke is co-respondent is to be tried on Wednesday next, and should. he be acquitted he will take the portfolio of Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Lord Rosebery gring to the Colonial Office, and Lord ranville being appointed Lord of the Privy Seal.
