WE LATE DROWNING ACCIDENT AT CAMRRIDGE. Recovery of the Body.

The body of the unfortunate young m»n, John Turnbull, who was drowned whilst bathing at Cambridge on Sunday week, was recovered at Hamilton yesterday afternoon. Mr C. G. Beale was driving over the bridge in a buggy about half-past three o'clock, when he saw a Btrange object on the nand bank just above the bridge. He at once gave information to Constable Wild, who lost no time in proceeding to the spot, when he saw that the object wan » human body. As it was quite nude he at once concluded that it was the remains of young Turnbull. Constable Murray joined Constable Wild, and they had the body removed to the Hamilton Hotel, where he now lies. From the position of the limbs it is evident that the deceased must have been seized with cramp, which would account for his sudden disappearance. The body is very much decomposed, and the face is worn beyond recognition. An inquest will be held at the Hamilton Hotel at 11 o'clock this morning, but no new facts are likely to be elicited. Intelligence of the finding of the body was at once telegraphed to deceased's relatives, and Mr Hedgecock, undertaker, of Cambridge, arrived at Hamilton last night to make the necessary arrangements for the funeral, which will leave the Cambridge railway station for the Cambridge cemetery immediately on the arrival of the 2.15 p.m. train to-d«y.
