KIHIKIHI ANNUAL PICNIC.

Many of the subsciibers are under the impression that the management has been carried out by tho school comuntteo. To dispel tin's eiror, I may state that I have asceitained from four members that it has never been authorised by the school committee, and that they have been kept just as far in the dark as other people. We would Hnpgest to those who are e\pre«sing their determination that they will never subscribe again, that they ascertain when giving their Biibscription whether they are to have a say in the formation of a committee. Then the arrangements may be earned out more satisfactorily. No doubt the fete in itself was very good. Tn eulogising the actions taken by the head teacher and three assistant teachers, we cannot over estimate their value in their endeavour* to make the whole thing a success, the items being carried out principally by them, with the e\ception of the baby show, which foil into the hands of two gentlemen who weemed well adapted to the oc&ibion, Mr Greahani being the judge, and Mr Thomas tho trea surer. — Yours obediently, Willy.
