LONDON WOOL SALKs. London, January 30.— Tho wool market it quieter, but steady !1700 bales were catalogued at yestord.iy's sales. All description* of wool, except tine and finest qualities, elicits good competition. — \t toany'd wool salen, a catalogue of some 11,000 bale* wore submitted. Tho market remains quiet but steady. The present series of colonel wool auctions will close on Saturday week, th« 13th February.— A Press Association aayu :— At the wool Hales to-day prices were unchainged. The number of bales *" catalogued was 102,000 and of these 10,700 were withdrawn.
NEW ZEALAND MUTTON. London, January 30.— New Zealand ' mutton remains at 5q to 5& per lb.
