A PRISONER BURNT TO DEATH. [BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Monday.
At Alexandra South, in Vincent County, the lock-up was burned down this inornimr at 4 o'clock. There was a prisoner confined in it —a, Chinaman named Ah Tew ; but when the lire was dibcoveied the flames had such a hold of the building that it was impossible to rescue him, and his body w.ib burnt to a cinder. The building was of wood and iron, and was erected 20 years ago.
