The Domain Assault Case. At the Police Court the enquiry into the alleged rape on Ellen Paine by Henry Goodward, both attendants of the Salvation Army, was gone into. Mrs Murray deposed that Good ward called at hey boarding-house for his coat at 12.30, not at 10, as the girl had stated. George Lund deposed that he met the girl coming out of the Domain at 8 o'clock in the morning following the alleged assault, and directed her to a Ponsonby 'bus.
