Fatal Fire. ArcKLAMi, Wcilnestlay Night. A FATAL fire oecuned at Helensville last night. It biokc out in the Kaipara Hotel, and is supposed to have originated in the woodwoik near the kitchen stove. It spread very rapidly, no appliances, being at hand for its suppression. John Hams, cook, and his assistant, Mooney, •vyere sleeping npstans, and bong missed after the fire, a seaich \csulted in the discovery of their chaired remains. The flames spread rapidly to the adjacent stores of Messis McLeod, which weie ■ totally destroyed, although a eousideiable amount of merchandise was lemovod through the exeitions of ,\ ]><uty of bns.lv •nen, who happened to be in the township. The adjacent houses, which wcie 1 for some time in consideialjle dungei, were saved. The hotel was owned by James Hand, and leased to McLellan.
