FIELDING, Tuesday.
A public meeting was held hcie last night, and passed a strong resolution, asking the Minister for Public Woiks to proceed with the survey of the central railway route, starting from Fielding, in accordance with the promise made by the Hon. Walter Johnston eight months ago. A resolution was also passed, urging Messia. Stevens and Johnston, M.H.R.'s. to use their influence with the Minister to commence the voik at once.
