Bt a telegram received last night from our own correspondent, it is estimated that there are not more than thirty men now unemployed, and a number of these will find employment in connection with the new battery works. It is stated that several men are working in the New Find for eight shillings, and he has heard threats that steps are to be taken by the " strikers " to prevent them working. The Inverness are expecting to cut the reef in the low level every day. Very likely-looking quartz is being met with in the Eurek.i. They are opening out on the intermediate level, and getting a little gold.
