Engagements during the week: Housekeepers, £40; good farm hands, 20s to 25s ; drapers, 20s to 50s; canvasser*, los to 25s and commission ; grooms and gardeners, 20-? to 30s, and found : cooks, 3(te to 40s; married couples, £50 to £7">; drivers, 20s to 40s ; general farm hands, 15s to 20.5; labourers, 7s to 8s per day; general servants, 8s to 12s ; housemaids, 8s to 10«; 'char-women, 3s to 4s per day ; cooks, 15s to 25s ; nursegirls, 5s to 7s ; boots, hotels, j 20s and found; porters, 20s and found.
