Makktu Survey District. Blocks VIII., XL, XII. , 32 sections, containing 5632 acres, at an xvpset price of £1 an acre. Waihi Survey District. Block V., 11 sections, containing 346 acres, at an upset price of £ an acre. Description op Land. — The Maniatutu Village, situated on the future main road from Tauranga to Opotiki, is about the centre of the tibove lands, and is distant from Tauranga 23 miles, from Te Puke 1 1 miles, and from Maketu 9^ miles, by partly-formed roads, the road from Kaikokopu to the village and onwards through the block being now under construction by Government. The lands in the Maketu and Waihi Survey Districts are* all open, and consist of undulating fern hills running out to swamps in the northern portions, whilst the southern blocks are more broken. The soil is light, the vegetation consisting of fern, tutu, and flax. The swamp lands are in many cases of a superior character. Note. — Waihi Survey District, Block 11., 19 sections, containing 3423 acres, at an upset price of £1 10s per acre, will be open for selection, on the " Deferred Payment System," about the end of June next. Plans may be seen, and further particulars of the lands obtained, on application at the Post-offices, Ngaruawahia, Hamilton and Cambridge. I "
