Miller's annual stork and station report gives the following official figures — Sheep in the prouncial district, 2,096.375, giving .in increase of 2M,8h6 tor the jear, after providing for exports (81,167), and boiling down (154,^93), horned caitle, 36,000; horsts, 0500. Iho aci cage under occupation, including leaseholds, is slightly under two million acres, of which one million is fenced ; surface sown with hnghsh grasses, 700,000 acres ; m crop, 300,000 acres. Wool exported, 11.176,879^3 , giving an average per sheep of 61bs. 20/s , lamb-> 3lbs. This includes 3,000,0001b5. of washed wool. The average clip in grease is over 7lbs. The value of the exports ot wool is £608,93=; — an increase of £172,000 ; tallow. £46,204— an increase of £17,100; sheepskins, etc , £6567 I otal, £661,776. flic population of the district, including 3200 natnes, is 19,000 Ihe exports, therefore, is equal to £34 p< r head ot the population; against £12, the average for the colon) .
