Napier, Last Night.
A settlement has been lately formed on the Wairoa river, half-way between the township and the Constabulary Station at Te Kapu, by the disaffected natives on the East Coast. The village numbers about 300, and the population is increasing weekly. A church has been dedicated to Te Kooti'a religion, and a regular chain communication has for a long time past been established between the King country and the East Coast. The friendly natives think Te Kooti is prepairing the place as a residence at Wairoa, and regards the aspect of affairs as detrimental to the peace of the country, and expressing astonishment at the Government's supremness in the matter.
