Auckland, Last Night.
Jubgk Fenton was elected a member of the Grammar School Board of Governors by the Memberß of the General Assembly, without opposinon. At a meeting of the Boaid of Governors to-day, it was resolved to divide the school into two side?, modern and classical, [and to offer Mr Macrae the modern aide, and ask Mr Rolleston to procure a head master at £700 a year, to take the general control of both sides. At the regular meeting of the North Auckland Cattle Board the only bnainess transacted was the granting of permission to Mr Angerstine to quarantine at Epsom a shorthorn bull expected from England by the ship Oxford. Slaughterhouse licenses were granted to-day to Messrs Buckland and Fisher. Fernandez, a publican, was fined £5 for delaying to admit a constable in on Sunday.
