The Native Minister at Russell. Russell, Last Night.
The native meeting continues. They opened the hall for the Native Minister, but would not unveil the monument. The Hon. Mr Rolleston seems to have created a favourable impression on 4he public in the district, and his straightforward manner in dealing with the natives is commended both by the Europeans and natives, as he does not promise them everything they ask. The Europeans are now buying large quantities of potatoes and numbers of pigs from the natives, -who are selling off their surplus food.
