Dunedin, Thursday.
An official inquiry was held yesterday into the stranding of the ship Waitara at the Bluff. It wus decided that no blame was attached to the officers of the ship, whose certificates were returned. The Court held that if any blame was to be attached to anyone it was to the pilot. The property tax collected here to date amounts to £42,000. The Governor inspected the harbour today, and then attended the Caledonian sporqs, and left for Timaru at 5. 14 p.m. Mr. Thomas Wood, of Auokland, has been called to the bar by vouchers from Lincoln's Inn on January 15.
