Wellington, Tuesday.
At the meeting of officers of the local volunteer corps last night it was decided to accept the invitation of the Nelson volunteers to the Easter encampment. It was understood that the Hinemoa would convey the volunteers to Nelson and back. Yesterday. The following are the total receipts of the property tax payments advised yeaterday :— Hawke's Bay, £10,120 7s lOd; Canterbury, 46,892; Waitaki, £8240 ; "Wellington, £29,244. The above amounts are exclusive of the sums recieved by postmasters for the week ending the 22nd. Other returns have not been received.
