Turkey and Greece. Constantinople, March 18.
It has transpired that the Ambassadors of the Powers have now made a proposal to Turkey and Greece that the latter should accept the Porto's offer of October last, to cede the districts of Thessaly and Epirus to the south of Janivra and Larissa, but the Powers furthermore suggest that the Island of Crete should also at the same time be surrendered to Greece. The proposal recently mado by the Porte to the ambassadors of the Powers at Constantinople, to cede the island of Crete to Greece, and the settlement of the TurkoGreek difficulty, as announced yesterday, has been under the consideration of the Hellenic Government. After a full deliberation, the latter has informed the Powers that it must absolutely declino the offer of tho Porte.
