Mr J. S. Buckland's Report.— At the Cambridge horse s.ile on S.iturday last, there were 93 horses entered ,md 42 sold, at prices varying from Ll5 to L 25. Strong-, acti\e young- riding hor<es\vere in request, and brought from Ll2 to Ll7. The whole of the furniture and effects advertised was sold at satisfactory prices ; and the buggy, waggon, and harness were withdrawn from the auction, but afterwards sold privately forL 3 8. * *

AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report.— The usual Remuera sale being held on Wednesday, there were fewer dairy and store cattle than usual. Those brought forward sold at late values. Fat cattle were in full number, but maintained the prices ruling for the past three weeks, varying with quality from 20s to 23s thcioolbs ; but unless stock are well fatted, pnecs rule much lower. The shorthorn cows of Air John Smith were fairly competed for, and brought prices varying from 1.15 to L4l oath. Sheep were y.irded in less than average number, but were dull of sale, and several pens of middling quality withdrawn. L.imbs in brisk inquiry, and brought from 10s to 1 Israeli. At Dniry there was .1 full market of store cattle ; about 300 head yarded. There w.ls a numerous attendance, and satisfactory prices obtained throughout the sale. Messrs Hunter .md Nolans Weekly Report.— Horses : There hab been a marked improvement 111 the market. The supply has been large, and there w .is a spirited demand. On Friday, at the Durham Yards, an unusually large number were entered for disposal by auction. Competition was good throughout the sale, and prices advanced on last week's rise. We quote hacks from L 9 10s to Li 6; light harness horses from Ll7 to L2| 7s 6d; draught, L 32 to L 36.— Cattle : The supply of store, has been rather limited, but dairy cows and fat beasts have been brought forward in adequate numbers, and prices were a little firmer. At the Newmarket yards, on Tuesday, dairy cows advanced in value; and f.it boasts were worth a shade more than the previous week. Very few stores were yarded. Sheep were in ample supply and good demand, and although the expections of vendors could not be reached for a few pens, an average number were disposed of— wethers at from is 6d to js 8d per 81bs. A small draft of store ewes in low condition sold at 6s qd. — Lambs : A frar number ■were yarded, and sold from 5s 6d to izs.
