Concert at Ngaruawahia.
The animal concert in connection with the Presbyterian Church, was held in the Schoolroom on Thursday evening. There was a full house, although it rained at the time of going in, and few were expected. In the performance, there was a considerable abscence of Ngaruawahia talent, but the audience had a splendid treat in the singing of Messrs Culpan, White, Fulton and W. J. Ralph. Mrs. Milling, Miss Culpan and Mrs Steiner sang very nicely also. A duet by Mr White and Mrs Milling with Miss Culpan at the piano, was rendered in a very pleasing manner. "Gipsy life," by Messers White, Culpan, and Milling, also took well, and kept the house in roars of laughter. A hearty vote of thauks to the singers and chairman, (Capt. Lindsay) with the National Anthem, concluded as pleasant a concert as has been, held in this place. Tiie Ngaruawahia Quadrille party under the management of Messrs. H. Dickenson, Arch. Wallace, Popple and others, took possession of the room after the concert, and the remainder of the night was pleasantly spent in dancing by those fond of that amusement. — [Correspondent.] •
