Cambridge v. A. C. Force.

For the third time this season these teami have met. The first match was won by the C.C., the next bj tha A.C., nnd on Saturday last they met to decide the " conqueror," which was won by the CO. by 19 runs. Cambridge went first to the wickets, and were disposed of for 35, Cotton and C. E. Pearson only reaching double figures. The A. C.'s followed, and totted up 56, Cooper only making much of a stand. In the second inning* of the Cambridge, commenced with a prospect of their being* more unfortunate than the first innings, till '). E. Pearson and Cotton got together, and each over they received, made things look brighter for their olub. The last wicket fell for 99 runs, leaving their opponents 81 to win, which thej soon disposed of reaching, with Cooper again getting well set, and Hinton hitting out pretty freely. However, a well timed and a judicious one from Mackintosh, who bowled well throughout the match, disposed of Hinton, who was followed quickly by Cooper. It now wanted half an hour to time with 5 wickets to go down and 31 runs to get and the "glorious uncertainty" yet to decide, however, it wanted 10 minutes when Moore embraced the final opportunity, leafing the A. C.'s 19 in the rear. The one or two omissions in the score, is owing to oversights of the scorer:—
