For horses that have never won an advertised hurdle race exceeding 10 soys. Welter weight for age. Entrance, 2 soys. Publicans' Purse Handicap, of 75 soys. If miles. Nomination, 2 soys. ; acceptance, 3 soys. Handicap to be declared at 8 p.m. night of first day's races. Waikato Steeplechase, a handicap of 50 soys. ; about 3 miles, over fair hunting country. Nomination, 2 soys. ; acceptance, 3 soys. Grand Stand Handicap, of 25 soys. 1 J miles. Entrance, 2 soys. Maori Race, of 10 eovs. ; twice round couiae. Catch weights. Horses to be owned and riddtn by natives. Three to start or no race Entrance, 1 soy. Consolation Handicap, of 20 soys., for beaten horses during the meeting. Once round course. Entrance, 1 soy. Conditions. Entrance fee to be forwarded with nomination and colors, age and pedigree of horse addressed to the Seoretary, Postoffice, Cambridge, or Mr William Percival, Auckland, not later than Friday, 31st December, 1880. Weights will appear in. Auckland and Waikato papers on Thursday, Janury 6th 1881. with the exception of the Publicans' Purse, which will be declared at 8 p.m. night of first day's races. Acceptance money payable to the Secretary, or Mr Perciral, by Saturday, Bth January, 1881, before 8 p.m. Acceptance for Publicans' Purse will be received up to 12 o'clock noon of second day's races. No entry will be received, except upon the conditions that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided ly the Stewards, or whom they may ap- £ )int, and their decision shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 3 soys., which will be forfeited to the f unds of the Club, should the Stewards consider the prote.4 frivolous or vexatious. Hurdle Raca (Handicap), 300 yards, over 8 flights of hurdles, 3ft. high. — Entrance, 3s. 6. 100 Yards Race (Handicap). —Entrance, 2s. 7. Boys under 15 (Handicap), 200 yards. — Entrance, Is. 8. Long Jump (Standing) ; weights optional. 9. 1 Mile Handicap. — Entrance, ss. 10. 600 Yards Handicap Flat Race.— Entrance, 4s. 11. Three-legged Race, 200 Yards.— Entrance, Is. 12. Wheelbarrow Race (backwards), 400 yards — 200 yards there, 200 yards back, round a pole. 13. Consolation Race, 300 yards (Handicap).— Entrance, 2s. 6d. 14. Pig with Greasy Tail. -Entrance, nil. Prize, "The Pig." The winner of each event will be amply rewarded by a suitable prize. A valuable Silver Cup will be given to the winner of the Mile Handicap open to all comers.
