COMMERCIAL. Waikato Times Office, Friday. AUCTIONEERS' REPORT.

Waikaio C.u.i/ik M\RKhi.— Messrs Hunter and Nolan report that they held their usual monthly wile uf rattle, &c, in the Cambridge yards on Thursday. Tlie yards were well filled, and the competition was keen for all fat stock and dairy cows \arded, and with one or two exceptions, all sofd. They quote : Fat heifers Irom £6 to £j ios ; fat bullocks, £q to j(Cio 2s 6d ; dairy cows, £6 ins to £8 15s ; tat wethers, 21s; fat-owes, 19s 6d eiuslw |. S. A few horses changed hands ; old screws brought L2to L 7 each ; a good active farm mare, by Fancy, L2s.— At M. M. Taylors special sale at Ngaroto on Saturday, test, there wa^.a large attendance of huyors from all parts of The household furniture and implements sold at fair values, and the live stock.* especially the cattle, brought extreme prices. The ewes and lambs were, sold at tßs the couple. The draught marcs in foal to President were knocked down at L 27 and L 37 respectively, and the buggy mare, LlB ss. The buggy and harness, LSB 45s.— At the Cambridge Cattls Sale on Tuesday last, there were only 50 head rattle yarded and one pen of fat sheep. Store cattle sold at high prices , and 10 fat steers brought from L 7 ios to Lio -5s each. The sheep were very good, and brought 24s each.

Auckland Cattlw Market.— Mr. Alfred Ruckland's Weekly Report.— At the Haymarket, the demand for fodder has, with the warm spring weather, almost ceased, and prices are nominal — from is 6d to 25 6d the owt. Considerable quntitics of pressed hay are being forwarded from the coast, and the prices realised scarcely cover ihe cost of freight andptcssing. Horse stock was offered in limited number on Friday last, but a complete clearing of all lots on hand were effected at prices satisfactory to the sellers. On Tuesday there was a large number of hides pitched ; the demand was steady, but late values were hardly maintained. Prices for the greater part sold ranged from 3'] dto jjd the lb. : one parcel only reached 4d. Skins and wool were also in full supply, and better prices were obtained. Skins ranged from 2s ad to 5s iod each, and wool 8d to g^d the lb. — At Remuera on Thursday both dairy and store cattle were in less number than usual. Fat cattle were also in less than usual number, but a last week's values. Good cattle from 26s to 10s ; inferior ship cattle from 22s the ioolbs. Sheep arrived from the coast to late for the market; consequently there was a short supply ; and prices rallied slightly. Lambs sent from the coast were too small for the market, and brought but 2s 6d to 4s each ; but a few really good lambs brought from 17s 6d to igs each. Store sheep were in fair enquiry, and several pens sold. Pigs, mostly stores, were numerous and in good demand.

Mi.ssrs. Huxttr and Nor.\*'s Weekly Report.—Horses: The market has shown an ira- ' provement on the previous week. On Friday a good many wore entered for disposal by auction at the Durham yards. Bidding was steady thoroughout the sale. Prices ruled in favour ol vendors, as compared with the previous week. We quote saddle horses from L 6 ios to L 23;2 3; light harness horses from Lls ios to L 24 ss ; medium draught, L 35 15s. — Cattle : The supply has been good, and a corresponding demand has existed. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, there was a large muster, as also at Wainku, on Wednesday. Store cattle at both sales were competed for about the same rates. For dairy of good description there remains an unsatisfied enquiry, while inferior were in excess of requirements. Fat beasts were, well represented at Newmarket, and for top sorts there was little decline in value, but indifferently fatted rereded fully 2s per ioolbs. — Sheep : A good many have been brought forward. Best wethers sold at from 17s to 19s 6d j mixed, from 13s to 15s pd. Lambs not so pcntiful as the previous wpok, 'and sold at from 8s to 15s. Pigs were tolerably plentiful. Good porkers sold at 3d per lb., live weight. /
