I3ANDALA DISASTER,
FURTHER PARTICULARS.
MELBOURNE, April 16. Fuller accounts of the Isandala disaster, state that the Zulus were marching m regular order to invade Natal, when they were encountered by Colonel Glynn's column, which kept the Zulus at bay for several hours, until the ammunition failed, when the Zulus advanced with demoniacal yells, and a fearful struggle ensued. The Zulus hurled the corpses of their comrades on the British bayonets, thus overpowering resistance. Tha British were literally hewn down, there not being a single white left m the camp. The losses are : — Imperial Army : 786 men, 51 officers ; Colonial Army : 110 whites, 21 officers. The health of the remainder of Glynn's column, is bad, owing to privation and exposure.
