A cab with seven passengers was bailed-up by a man in a white gown, who presented a revolver. He only got 16s. No resistance was offered. The police have a clue to the offender. The native disturbance between the Rarawas and Ngatihaere, at Hokianga, has been settled by arbitration. The Land Court is now sitting there, Judge Monro, and Abraham Barton, Native Assessor, presiding. One thousand natives have assembled, and though plenty of beer and grog is available, not "a native in liquor is to be seen. Thev are a'l water drinkers, a fact as noteworthy as it is creditable to them.
