AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET.
MR. A. BTJOKLAND'S WEEKLY REPORT. At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cows were in fair enquiry ; good cattle, from £8 to £9 !0s each. Store cattle were fairly inquired for, and young cattle were lower than at Drury 5s per head. Fat cattle were in moderate number — 118 head yarded; prices, lower than last week: for steers 2s Gd, and for eows ss, the 1 OOlbs ; prices ranged from 24s to 30s. Sheep were in large number ; abeut 1,500 sold, mostly good wethers ; prices fell as the salo proceeded about Is lower than last week's market. Fat lambs were in moderate number, and at last week's values — 9s to 13s each; inferior lambs, frem 3s Gd each. — Averages were: — Elliott and Bayley, 6 steers, £9 5s, — 6 cows, £8 13s; Awitu, 14 steers, £9 3s ; J. Barr Brown, 20 steers, £9 Is ; J. Rutherford, 19 steers, £8 19s ; C. J. Storey, 18 steers, £8 13s 6d, — 8 cows, £7 ; Robert Bent, 40 ewes, 15s, — 100 wethers, 14s ; Elliott and Bayley, 68 wethers, 13s ; 347 wethers, King & Co., 16s 6d, — 140 ewes, lis; 120 two-tooth ewes and wethers, J. Hicks, 13s; 140 two-tooth wethers, R. H. D. Fergusson, 13s 3d; 31 sheep, Storey, mixed sexes, 17s 3d; 20 lambs, J. George, lis; 27 J lambs, John Martin, lis 6d; 22 lambs, John Short, 10s Cd ; 32 lambs, J. Routley, , 83 each.
