BRISBANE, January 15. The Queensland Parliament met yesterday. Mr King was elected Speaker. The latest news states that the New Caledonia insurrection is languishing. Two tribes have surrendered and been sent to the Isle of Pines. WRECK OF THE SCHIBtIALLIOX. SYDNEY", January 15. An underwriters' telegram from London, the 13th is as follows : — "The Schiehallion, from Auckland to London, is on rocks on the Isle of Wight. She is a total wreck. The cargo is washing ashore." S yTDNEY, January 16. At Pastor Chiniquy's lecture an alarm of fire was raised, and a stampede ensued. It was a hoax. There was no casualties. Montgomery was committed to-day for trial for the Government House jewellery robbery and other charges. I MELBOURNE, January 16. ! The Bohemians, in their first innings, made 236 ; Canterbury, in their second innings, 105. The Bohemians' second, 67 for two wickets. Won by eight wickets. »
