THE KOPUA MEETING.
(FROM. OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) (Per Electric TaLEaiiAru.) KOPUA, 3 p.m. The meeting has' been going on here since morning', and is now adjourned 3 food is being presented at the present moment. Tupotahi and Kouhu had no sapporters to carry their proposition, that all the land should again be formally handed over to Tawhiao, fche removal of half-castes and Europeans, <soc. The meeting gradually merged into a kind ol civil gi-owl. The principal speakers were Hauhaaru; Aporo Tuhora riimuhumu to Rangiaui, Tupilian,. Karewa, and Pnkawa te Mails. Hauhaurj called upon Taonui for an explanation of the sayings anil doings of himself and llewi, at Taranaki. Taonui made a speech, in which he referred to his aoriou in respect to Rewi, evidently entirely from the Wivikato's point of vioiv.
