Sib, — I would draw the attention of the Kirikiriroa Highway. Board to the bad state of the cutting at Blackmore's Gully, on the Piiiko Road; It is nearly impossible to get up with' an empty dray, let' alone a frill 'one, and it" is so bad with holes that have been' washed m with the late rains. The new cutting, also, which the contractors have made for the public Avhile the others are m course of construction, is very dangerous, as it is not safe to go down it with a load, for, should any of the gear carry away, it would be a speedy passage to tho next world. I hope that it will soon be repaired. I, also, would draw the attention of the Tainahere Board to the road along Taweri Elat. It is one mass of holes. A couple of men for a few days would rectify things, and make, the road passable for the winter, The ditches are not deep enough to carry away the water, and, as a consequence, it lodges m holes, and the p road is so narrow that it is impossible to escape them:' Htfping that ;the matter will be set right as soon as possible,— l aiti, eltcj A Road Vicrnr. ; ....
