AUCKLAND MARKETS.
Breadstuffs and Gkain. —Flour remains at last quoted prices with a somewhat uneasy feeling as to the future. The next advices from California will probably set matters in a better view. The mills •till quote 16/ for best brands ; household, 151. Adelaide has been sold at 16/ 10a to 17/. Oamaru, Canterbury, and Otago have realised 15/ for the best brands. The very best oats are worth 2s 9d per bushel, and the stocks are large. 3est maize, in parcels, will not command over 4» per bushel (duty paid).. The stocks of potatoes are large, but in the ii ajority of imports unsound ; still they command fi/ 10a per ton, but best samples are worth 7/10s per ton, wholesale. Southern corned butter, best ■ample, does not realise more than 9£d per lb. Northern bacon and hams (green) have occupied no attention. Gilmore's hams and bacon, half-and-half, operate, and evincing a proof that stocks in the market must be in excess of the demand.
