The fishermen at Stewart Island and Bluff have decided to go on strike against the reduction of 5s per lOOlbs of fish, the price being reduced from 32s to 27s per lOOlbs. The Christchurch City Council has increased the rate to two and seven-eighths pence in the £ on the unimproved value. This is three-eighths higher than last year.
