WESTERN DISTRICT CH AMPION SHIPS. The Western District bowls championships were played at Winton on Saturday afternoon on the Central Club’s green. The six clubs were represented and although the weather wa s dull, with rain threatening at times, playing conditions were good. The singles championship was won by 0. Jamieson of the Winton Club, who had a narrow victory from C. Hughes of the Central Club. W. S. Hunter and J. W. Clarke (Riverton) won the doubles championship from the Tuatapere pair, C. Bruce and Dr Dodds. The rinks championship wa s won by Nightcaps who beat Riverton by 21 points to 13 in the final. /Details. SINGLES. —First Round.— D. Manuel (Otautau) beat J. W.
