WOMEN’S TERRIBLE ORDEAL.
M—, STARVING IN MOUNTAIN HUT.V A terrible ordeal was gone through by two women, who in summer, look after a refuge hut seven thousand feet up in the Alps, in the Trento district of Italy. One of them broke her leg and immediately afterwards there were heavy snowfalls, making it impossible to move her down to the hospital. They remained in th© hut. and food was brought to them by a young majp in. the village far below One day an avalanche killed him. Rescue parties who tried to reach the hut failed, until at last a party of young Fascists conquered tlie mountain snow s and saved the two women who had almost starved and frozen to death.
