The appointment of Sir Alalcolm AlacNaughton to be King’s Bench Judge in place of the late Mr Justice Saltei necessitates a by-election in the City and County of Londonderry, which, since, 1922, Sir Alalcolm AlacNaughton has represented ip the House of Commons. DEFYING THE LAW. AIRS MEYRICK AGAIN ARRESTED. LONDON, December 14. In the early hours of the morning Airs Aleyrick, who is already on bail in connection with the Goddard case, was arrested at the Forty Three Club and accused at Bow Street of selling unlicensed liquor. The club where she was arrested wa,s raided in June and the premises disqualified for five years. She was remanded without bail.
