G T Pulley applied for a budding permit for a small building in Main street .—Granted. Hodge and Raines solicitors, wrote enclosing an' agreement for tenancy giv ing Mr H A Holmes a' renewal of the existing license in respect of the Town and Clerk to sign and cXfUx ■ The Clerk Wallace County Council notified that use of grader was granted to the Board. Arrangements to be made with the Surfaceman when required.—Received. H J Farrant chairman of the Executive Committee of the Southland Provincial Court notified that a meeting of representatives will he held in the Town Hall, Invercargill on Friday 22nd October at 10.30 a.m—Received The National Mortgage and Agency Company forwarded a cheque for £5 in payment of rent.—Received. The Minister, of Internal Affairs forwarded a copy of the Town Planning Act 1926.—Received. Revd L Snell Vicar St Andrews Church wrote re the use of the stage ef the Town Hall for next year and asked that it receive consideration at earliest opportunity. —Use of stage to be granted on same terms as previously. W B Rowan postmaster, r© the Boards request that telephone subscribers have name of streets inserted in next issue of the telephone directory and stated that the request may be complied with. He asked for the cooperation of the Board in the matter The request however cannot be given effect to till April 1927. —Left- in the hands of the Clerk to attend to. The Town Clerk South Invercargill wrote re rating on Ward System. His Borough is divided into aii inner and outer ward. The Wallace Motor , and Tourist Company applied for permission to erect a kerbside pump on their premises M.ain Street.—Granted. Mr Seatter to supervise

R Buchanan applied for permission to erect a Ford sign in front of his

shop main street. —Grafted. The Chairman, reported that the Works Committee had inspected the various works as aluthorised at last meeting. Some repairs had been effected and others held over, for consideration by the Board. —Decided that gorse be cut and the footpath gravelled in Clitheroe street. It was decided that the matter of leasing the Memorial Site be left in the hands of the Works Committee. The action of the Chairman in stopping all 1 gravelling in the meantime was approved. The matter of re-erecton of shed at the pound was left to the Works Committee and Mr Seatter to attend to. It was decided to notify all property owners to cut gorse on their portion of the road line. It was left in the hands of Mr Seatted to report on repairs outside of old hall. The "Works Committee to repo.rt on alteration at top of stairs leading to Reading Room. Accounts amounting to £2ll 15/10 were passed for payment Cemetery Trust. —It was left in the hands of the Works Committee and Mr Seatter to have a shed erected in the Cemetery with power to act.
