A Conimittee meeting of the a\>ove was held last evening, the President,' ' Air T. E. Trail, being in the chair. , 1 '•* ;; The Chairman said lie was pleased A-.; to see such a. good meeting, and congratulated one 'andl all on the success of the Regatta. A vote of thanks was accorded Meters Slaughter andl Dennis for the manner in which they got the crewe , 1 out'for the events. , \ ■ ... A number of suggestions were, put forward for the next regatta, such as the charge for ■ water events- to bo reduced to 1/-, the flags on the racing counse >to 'be 'taken in a little nearer - the bank, a small shod for .■ l 1 bathers, a. supply of hot wfiter near. ‘ .D. the .wharf, sale of ( badges *toi' motor car drivers, etc. . - It was suggested th’nt-, owing, to the poor response in tlrn motor boat race, it would be better to eliminate this event in the meantime and allowthe boats to ply for hire. Seeing that - f - sailing is now .again comimg to the fore, it i was suggested that a- good! prize be given for a diiighy sailing race, an event that was very - popular in the early history, of the Club.
