American cables advise that the markets there are stagnant, Several district dairy factory managers (says the Wyndbam Farmer) have been making interesting tests in respect of the' milk of cows that have been hand-milked or machine-milked, respectively. The experience of throe different managers who (made comparative tests is the same—in favour of the hand-milked article. The superiority has come out in the manufactured cheese. For purposes of trial the best milk of each class was taken, and from this cheese was made separ-. ately, and in due course subjected! to analysis according to the standard of good-points of cheese. The result, as stated, was clearly in favour of the hand-milked product. _
