DREADNOUGHT GAS.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, — Our City Fathers with practically a stroke of the pen have put up the price of gas from 5/- to 8/per 1000 feet. Do they want to . prohibit the use of it ? It is a most expensive gas at any time, and unless they want consumers to revert to kerosene lamps and tallow dips, they would do well to. ; reconsider their decision. On the other hand, it might be to advantage if they investigated the plant with a view to the slopping of leakages. Oh, for Electricity'. —Yours, etc., CONSUMER., Riverton, April loth.
