SOLDIERS’ PARCELS.

A FEW HINTS FOR THE BENEFIT. OF SENDERS. A label should be placed inside giving address of the soldier and the sender. Addresses should be clearly written on at least two sides of the parcels. The sender’s name and address should 'be written on the lower left hand side. Parcels should be as nearly round as possible; sharp corners should be avoided. Several small parcels are better than a large one. They arrive in better condition. A parcel 21b to 31b in weight costs Is 2d; if divided into 11b parcels the cost will be 4Jd each. Parcels should be sewn in strong linen or cauvas. Parcels wrapped in paper only, or thin cardboard, are quite unsuitable. Chocolates or sweets should be packed in sealed tins. Jam, or perishable articles are useless on arrival aud spoil other contents. They should not be sent. Matches on no account should be sent.
